In MLS from the menu bar select Other Resources > Church Audits > Ward Financial Audit. It is not necessary, however, to open MLS to open any of the audit checklists. They are PDF documents. On a Windows XP computer the path and file for the ward audit checklist is C:\Documents and Settings\All Use...

Thanks for all of the responses. I will share some of your feedback with my bishop. At the end of the day, he is the one that ultimately decides how the expense is to handled.

I think you are depriving visiting teachers, home teachers, and neighbors blessings by not letting them render compassionate service. The meals are not intended to replace all acts of compassionate service. VTs and HTs will continue rendering CS. These meals are intended to be used in situations th...

Not all recipients of compassionate service would necessarily qualify for fast offering assistance. Without knowing who the assistance is going to makes it questionable as to whether the expense qualifies as FO assistance. I had the same thought. Until the meals are actually distributed, there's no...

Compassionate Service Meals: Fast Offering Expense?

Our Relief Society put together frozen dinners as a compassionate service project for families in need. No families have been identified yet; the sisters wanted to have meals already prepared so that when they hear of a family in need they can quickly and easily provide the meal. Since we don't know...

I seem to remember hearing a similar rule. It's possible that it's a Stake President's rule or a "suggestion" from the area authority. I remember hearing something as well several years back. I figured I would find something in the HB or elsewhere, but haven't had any luck. I guess that means it sh...

Adult supervision is required (Handbook 2, 13.6.2) If its an overnight activity, enough priesthood holders should be present to be able to provide support and protection (Handbook 2 13.6.12). Since Activity Days are not an overnight activity, no priesthood presence is required. That is, assuming th...

Priesthood presence at church building during Activity Days

Is there an official church policy that states that there must be at least one (or more) priesthood holder at the church building during church activities? I have some concerns about the lack of a priesthood presence during Activity Days which are held during the week at the church building in the l...

Non-member donation - use of storage unit to store items for YW fundraiser

Hello everyone, The owners of a local storage facility (who are non-members) have offered to donate the use of one of their storage units to the Young Women so the Young Women have a place to store donations they receive for their garage sale fundraiser. The owners haven't said anything about wantin...

I don't know for sure, but I wonder how long MLS keeps records about members who moved out. I doubt that they are kept forever, since this is data about people who are no longer members of the ward. It certainly wouldn't surprise me if the data for the Moved Out report is only kept for 4 months, wh...
