Re: Voiding an approved Expense in Bishop's Review

I imagine it would also show up in the expense summary and you'd be able to void/adjust it from there.

If it's a check, it's possible you'd have to print the check and then void it.
If it's ACH, I'm not certain if you can void. I don't have any issued ACH transactions, they are all cleared.

Re: Why is Ninite.com Blocked?

I believe the MLS filter (filter.lds.org) passes at the other locations as we just completed audits recently, but either something changed or this site has a more restrictive policy than the others. As I run an IT company, we subscribe to a large package of computers with Ninite Pro, so the 20-30 st...

Why is Ninite.com Blocked?

Ninite is a great utility for keeping applications updated on computers. It’s a great security tool and makes setting up computers much easier. I’ve been refreshing some computers this week and in two of our three buildings, no problems using ninite, but in the third, ninite.com is blocked. I can’t ...

FHC Portal/Premium Sites on Chrome OS (Chromebook)

Our stake has expressed interest in obtaining additional computers for some of our FHC sites and I have been asked about the possibility of using Chromebooks or Chromebox. I personally would love to see this work since the management would be simplified with automatic updates and the lack of a Windo...

John, yes, I agree with most of your comments. Specifically the purpose built device. The last thing we should be doing is pulling a clerks or FHC computer to use for streaming, but I suspect not many units can come up with the budget for the expensive webcast receiver box the church previosuly sold...

Wow, thanks for all the responses and the suggestion on good player. I'll have to try it on a test webcast one day to see for myself. JohnShaw, The iPad or other iOS device would be much simpler to setup than pulling a desktop computer out of a clerk's office or the FHC. We don't have any laptops th...

Same problem here in Murrieta, ca with at least one of our ten units. Have not tried restore, as we just had boundary changes in the last week and have hundreds of changes and a backup may only harm that process.

Awaiting a resolution from SLC.

Fortunately we have more bandwidth than we can conceivably use with the tiny user limit we have in place. We are fortunate to have fiber running to our buildings.

Too bad there don't seem to be any iPad options out there to simplify the setup.

iPad app for streaming stake conference

Has anyone found any way to stream from webcast communicator to an iPad or other iOS devices? It would really be so much easier to setup an iPad in each building and mirror the video to the projector than have to deal with moving desktop computers around. I understand some have had problems with wir...

I too would be interested in something that could be dedicated to receiving the broadcasts. Computers work, but we do this often enough that something should be dedicated for it.
