Re: Are there Android Gospel Library issues?

There has been a bug with certain devices that were using a VPN connection. The latest update of the app (version 5.3.0 updated on Sept 30th) has fixed this issue. I'm a system administrator myself. I know that no software will ever be free of all bugs. So bugs and defects in any software are absolu...

Re: VPN bug in Android 9

Several VPNs and web filtering services block access to the Church's content servers (there are likely automated scripts that decide what to block). Lookout, OpenVPN, and Norton have had an uptick in reports recently, so I think their blacklists were recently updated. T-Mobile Web Guard has had iss...

VPN bug in Android 9

I also experience related problems. Using the latest version of the Gospel Library app on Android 9 will cause problems when a VPN connection (using OpenVPN for Android) is present. In this case the app cannot connect to the Internet. All other apps however work just fine and have no connection prob...

Re: Not able to log in to LCR

Aloha from the other side of the planet (Germany). I have been able to log into LCR just now. So at least this is not a generalized issue. Could you describe (or attach a screenshot) or share what exact error message you see? The church uses single sign-on. That means you log in on any church websit...

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

There are many variables that could be the cause and without an admin on the recipient end and an admin on the lds.org end testing it together, I don't know that we'll figure out the edge cases. Awhile back I glanced at the SPF headers in the received emails and they do look ok. I absolutely agree....

Re: "Send a Message" Function on LCR

I'd like to second some of the complaints here in the thread about messages send from within LCR not reaching some email recipients. I'm a ward clerk and regularly have to send out emails using the "send message" feature withing LCR. Most recipients will receive my messages. Some however d...

Re: Cannot import LDS calendars

Thanks for the instructions. I had two people with iPhones try it and it worked in neither device. Don't know why the church makes it so difficult. I mean, a simple standard conforming .ics. file link should work with almost every device there is (except with Android which has no built-in CalDAV sup...

Cannot import LDS calendars

Hi, it's really frustrating. I spent hours and hours without luck figuring out how to import and integrate LDS calendars into CalDAV clients. Yes, Google calendars are supported as are Outlook calendars. Those two clients work just fine. IPhone import was impossible - at least if I followed the inst...
