Re: Delayed Audio

It wasn't the laptop, per se. Reloading the church webcasting page brought audio and video into nearly perfect sync. I have never had this problem before nor thought of that as a solution. I was going to suggest that. We had a case where there was video without audio at one receive site. A quick re...

Re: Stakes sharing webcasting equipment?

A visiting authority wanted to have text overly for music on tvs on the stand. The greatly increased the cost and complexity of the setup. It is nice to have a policy to keep it simple but when that request comes in you comply. We do not have TVs on the stand. Nor do we have stake budget to cover t...

Since the church changed to the Azure servers about 4.5 years ago, it has had multi-bitrate download capability. Although the first couple of years were pretty rocky, it's a fairly stable streaming platform today.

Re: Mi Box S beta program

- Ability to remotely unregister within the web interface a device (in case they happen to fall into the wrong hands) The MiBox can be unregistered to a stake using either it's internal configuration or an STS can do it from the church's portal dashboard. Either way is very easy. BTW, no web interf...

Re: Mi Box S beta program

Just one question: why is this not just an app that installs on any android box? Would seem pretty simple to do that and distribute for side loading. I think it's because it's still in beta testing. CHQ bought the first units, did the side loading, paired the remote, added some extras - like a wire...

Re: Mi Box S beta program

We are a beta site. It worked so well we used it for Stake Conference last weekend and it was flawless. It is very easy to use - the app displays the events currently scheduled in your stake, you click on it and that's it. Dead simple to use. After lots of testing at home, then a true building to b...

Talk to your ward clerk. He can put you in touch with the church's help desk. They are the only ones that can reset your two-factor authentication.

Re: MLS transfering data.... just spinning

Don't know if this is your problem, but if it's been a while since the last send/receive was performed it can take substantially longer. Check out this thread for some more info:

Re: OBS Studio

I'm using the latest version of obs studio, and having a terrible time getting a smooth, sharp result. Basic things first. Do you have enough upload BW available? (5Mb/s or higher for the highest church portal settings.) Not trying to use WiFi to stream? Total CPU utilization below 70% when streami...

That happened to us at a meeting house that was receiving stake conference with a notebook PC. For us, it was fixed by refreshing the web browser page. You might want to start there. Unfortunately, your conference has probably ended by now.
