Re: Member Address Mailing - Return Service Requested

I wrote up an insert letter requesting update contact info and plan to mail it out. If you'd be willing to share, I'd be interested in seeing the letter you wrote. I need to send out some of these letters, and have struggled with just how to word them. This is what I wrote but you’ll need to replac...

Annual Tithing Declaration - Donor Year End Statements

When I tried to generate the Year End Statement for individual donors, I am not seeing an option to select the year 2019. When will the year end statements for 2019 be available to start handing out? I don't see it in the pre-generated donor statements section either in the Year End Statement. The o...

Re: Ward Calendar and organizations

When I set the 'Add Email Reminder' in the LDS Tools Calendar event, how do I specify who to send it to instead of just me or the event creator? You don't control who it gets sent to. It gets sent to those who have subscribed to that specific calendar and have requested reminders. So it's in the ha...

Re: Ward Calendar and organizations

How do you enter a calendar event on the lds tools app? I tried but didn’t see an option in the app or can this only be done on a desktop PC? Is there a calendar view of the calendar on the lds tools app? I don't see any way of doing it via Member Tools. But the calendar on churchofjesuschrist.org ...

Re: Ward Calendar and organizations

Not to mention, the Church calendar helps manage locations, too, preventing double-booking. Which is really important if you're having to coordinate building use with another unit. How do you enter a calendar event on the lds tools app? I tried but didn’t see an option in the app or can this only b...

Ward Calendar and organizations

I was tasked to keep a Branch Calendar of all activities going on for the Branch including all of the other organizations activities also. How have you been able to keep track of all activities in one main branch calendar? We thought about using Google Calendar and then merging all the other organiz...

Re: End of year expenses

The Balance Forward category is not accessible by local users for expense or income transactions. It gets added to the 4 quarterly budget allocations, and transfers into Budget Allocations. Once the funds are there the amount can be allocated to any user accessible category. I use the Miscellaneous...

Missionary served in Branch/Ward

Is there a report that shows all the missionaries that have served in the branch or ward? Not members who are returned missionaries within the branch but any missionary that has served in the branch from other wards and branches.

Re: Budget Balance and Carryover

Keep in mind that the ward gets to carry over whatever the stake allows them to. I have seen cases where the stake asked wards to send some of their end-of-year surplus back to the stake. Yes, this is my concern too. I have seen it one year where the stake asked for the ward's surpluses be contribu...

Re: Printer Ink - Reimbursement

Members should not be required to spend their own resources for church expenses. Reimbursing for ink on someone's personal printer, though, can become a sticky situation. If they choose to print from home for convenience I suppose that is their choice. Perhaps they can provide an "invoice"...
