work arounds.
We were doing a regional broadcast today and they kept losing the broadcast during second session. From how the picture was artifacting and poofing and how it was spooling it was obviously a bad internet connection. Since we were receiving via satellite I knew it wasn't on our end. Now being a mecha...

We are doing 3 sessions of the regional training broadcast today receiving it via satellite.(Big dish) The first session came in fine. The time for the second session came and it was still showing BYU tv filler. Turns out for those of use with big satellite dishes we were supposed to have gotten a m...

Re: Not able to log in to LCR
When is it happening is another key? Logging into anything church from about 10 am US mountain standard time to 2:30 pm yesterday was nearly impossible. As best I can tell there are simply too many people trying to use the church system on Sundays during those peak hours. Most Sundays logging on is ...

Re: Lexmark printer: no more local scans?
Finally got it working. Stake technology specialists have additional help available in the family search help on the top right after you log in with your account. Lexmark printers entered in the search function and the 2nd article showed how to reinstall the app and reset the DNS info so it works. B...

Re: Lexmark printer: no more local scans?
One of the things that I have encouraged my patrons to do is bring a thumb drive. You can scan straight the the thumb drive and you don't have to put it on the churches computers. It can be edited on the thumb drive at the computer and attacked to the Family tree from there. Clean and simple and yo...

Re: Lexmark printer: no more local scans?
Was this ever solved? I was just approached about our lexmark not scanning from the family history app on the printer and not scanning from a program on the computer. Don't know how long they have had a problem. "months" is the answer I get. Has it been a year? No idea. As best I can tell ...

Re: Active vs. Less Active
There seems to be 2 questions here. Can you get enough numbers and can you get them geographically. So the first step is raw numbers. Say you currently have 2 wards and the 125 is the mimimum desired goal. That means to make 3 wards you would need the sacrament attendance in the 2 wards to be 125 X ...

Re: member login/ contact global service center
We finally got through to global service center. It took nearly an hour on hold to get through and 3 1/2 hours trying over all. Yes he is a temple worker. He drives 120 miles each way to work at the temple at least 2 days a week and he is doing something with scheduling temple works besides. I do fi...
