Solution from church HQ

Ok, I posted a message to the help email line, and they recommended completely re-entering the October 10 batch. That is, deleting the one there now which just has its CFAR History entry, and going through the tithing slips one by one again to enter the information. So, I guess the data was really l...

Bugs I've found in the calendar import

I also noticed the times of all events are 2 hours later on the new calendar than they were on the old calendar. I assume there's a time zone issue between the old and new (it should assume the same time zone - US Eastern for us!) Other problems: * repeating events with a biweekly schedule became we...

The October 10 batch is there, it just is missing all the donor information. That's the bug. No batches are missing, everything adds up, except that some donor statements are missing one of their donations.

Same problem reported in our stake

One of our units just called last night with this exact problem, the October 10 donations were not showing up under individual donor's records, and there was just the one CFAR history entry. I would appreciate hearing if anybody who has had this exact problem has had it resolved, and how, thanks!

boundaries

For our stake I've just used our written boundary definitions (and printed maps) and plotted out each vertex point using Google Maps API to find the latitude/longitude and turn it into a GPolyLine - I assume you can do something similar with Google Earth. It really doesn't take too long if you have ...

ditto

Here's a second vote. What a pain entering repeating events that have occasional exceptions (like our stake presidency meetings)!

Temples list in PAF out of date?

I was recently entering data in PAF and found it didn't like 'MANHA' as a temple. A kind familysearch help-desk person claimed the correct entry was "NYORK", but my temple cards are pretty clearly marked "MANHA". Are those temple designations supposed to match? And how do you update the temples list...

PhpGedView

I've used PhpGedView as a Linux/Mac GEDCOM editor - it turns your Gedcom files into a website that you can browse and update very easily, and share with others too. The downside is you need to be able to create a php-based website, so there's a technical hurdle. It's pretty nice - though I switched ...
