I regret using the word "scramble". Of course the message didn't say that. (The message for the CUBS transition didn't say there were going to be any problems; But I'm sure callings aren't nearly as complicated, either.) Regardless of my disturbing lack of faith, can anyone answer the three question...

Preparing for MLS 3.5

I received a MLS message saying that to prepare for the changes in MLS 3.5 I should print out all the Callings, and the class rolls for Sunday School and Primary. It also mentions a website to download the new version when it becomes available. I understand from the instructions that the new version...

While you could try to download the flash content using a program like Stream Transport, a much easier
method would be just to use a screen capture tool to grab each of the slides in the course. Of course,
the easiest but least attractive method would be to use a video camera pointed at the computer.

One effective tool against the over-sharing of birthdates on reports from MLS is the black marker. I am fortunate that my ward leaders spend that extra minute or two to mask unneeded data from distributed forms. Sure, it is a bit ugly, and reads like as report from the government about UFOs, but at ...

If you want the old tools menu - use the "sign in and go to" menu, sign into the Newsletter app, and the old tools menu is
at the top of that app. Not sure how long that will last, but it is nice to have the pictures back next to each app's name.

I think people would have a problem writing the check to the church because they believe that their money would be used for church (and not scout) related purposes. To ease their fears you could assure them that scout funds are never used for religious purposes, or you could accept donations to the ...

I think one easy workaround might be to see if people are comfortable writing a check to the Scoutmaster,
who then would cash it and donate it to the church's scout account.

Is it only the criteria of geocode, or also the listing portion also ? For example, If the criteria is set to only Melk. Preisthood, but the display settings include displaying the Stake Geo code, will it list all the Priesthood Brethren, and what their current geocode (which could then be sorted by...

Sounds like a great idea. If cost estimates could be added to the
registrations, it could even help leaders determine how much money
needs to be committed as more people sign up. Of course, getting
youth leaders to stay on budget might be another thing.
