The problem of multiple notifications happens to me. I am a stake web site administrator. Whenever I approve a web calendar submittal I get two notifications of the event. In my profile I am a member of no groups or lists. I set up my profile this way some time ago to prevent getting quadrouple noti...

When you used the control panel>Regional Language Options applet to reset the keyboard did you notice any other 'Installed services' (keyboard layout configurations) other than English (United States)>Keyboard>US ? You may have seen English (United States)>Keyboard>United States-Dvorak. You can safe...

We just received some new information. LDSAccess and Moroni do not work well together on the same access point. Moroni uses WEP encryption and LDSAccess uses WPA encryption. This causes a lot of wireless networking problems. We are fixing this by removing both moroni and LDSAccess from the access p...

Internet Explorer 7 on Administrative Computers

Since we have begun using internet connections for our administrative computers and therefore can do some browsing I've noticed that the administrative computers with Desktop 5.5 use IE 6 for the browser .I'm a fan of Internet Explorer 7 versus Internet Explorer 6 for many of the improved features l...

I don't quite understand why you would not want MLS to auto-detect. Prior to MLS 8.2 the auto-detect was buggy and not a recommended setting. I would like to set MLS to auto-detect only if the bugs have been worked out. If auto-detect still has bugs then I do not want to have to respond to calls at...

I know it is difficult to get people to monitor their connection when they are focused on other duties at the time of a send/receive. But it would be nice to know if the auto-detect setting really works. Would you post to this thread if the auto-detect actually works? We have a similar situation in ...

Thanks mkmurray. I think what you suggest will work. I hadn't thought of looking for configuration options at that point. Again Microsoft's cryptic and totally useless dialogs take their toll.

Unfortunately I do not control the security protocol for the connection - I do not have the option to select the security protocol. When the network 'LDSAccess' is identified after a scan for networks the only selection available is to connect. After the connect button is clicked then the password m...

LDSAccess difficulties

The success rate in making wireless connections using LDSAccess in our stake building is dismal. I have tried to connect four notebook computers but have been successful only with one. The one that succeeded is a Windows Vista system. The other three are Windows XP Professional. One of the Windows X...
