Re: 881W Issues

I would agree 100%. We too had the same issue and I received multiple calls. I took the 1st step of logging into tm.lds.org and saw that all 4 of our firewalls were reported to be online. This immediately told me that it had to ba a Salt Lake/Server issue. But a heads up (even system generated) emai...

External Antenna for Cisco 881w Firewall

As you know, the 881w Firewall is also an access point. Most of the time, this is in a secure location which blocks the signal from this access point from being used as a significant part of the overall meetinghouse internet wireless coverage. Cisco makes an external ceiling mounted antenna that com...

Facility Issue Reporting

Under the direction of our FM Group, We have been using the FIR tool for a couple of weeks now. I am the PFR and have yet to see any email notifications be sent to me or to the issue submitters. We have logged several issues, but no email notifications. Is anyone having this same problem?

I am pretty sure the church tech team folks don't want the calendar to go down on Sundays either. Regardless of the code used - a Sunday increase of millions of users is a very difficult thing to manage from a IT side.

Down for me as well. I am sure Sunday demand is a major issue to deal with for the church sites. I hope the calendar's servers can be beefed up soon to help with this ongoing issue.

I believe the FIR tool is out of Pilot. Is that correct? Our FM stated that they were awaiting final word from Salt Lake and that they had not received that yet. Any official word that I missed on this forum?

We have found that using a laptop on the receiving end provides better results then the church receiver box does. Each Ward in our Stake has a Ward Multimedia Specialist who is trained and responsible (agent ward) for providing the laptop and setting up the building to receive Stake Conference Broad...

We use this product from Extron and it works extremely well. You need T model to transmit and a R model to receive. I have seen these on ebay and such for anywhere from 25$ to 100$ per piece. Extron typically sells only through authorized dealers which we are fortunate enough to have one in our Stak...

Update - The problem resolved itself after I reset and restored my iPad2. I have since gotten the iPad3 and it was working fine for a couple of weeks - and now it's the same thing. Calendar page opens but the actual grid of the calendar never displays and only shows the spinning progress wheel in th...
