Not sure where you're looking, I don't check in here daily, but since I was here a couple days ago I see over 30 threads in the forum with new posts. Seems reasonably active. Not all threads are of equal value, and a thread I started was closed so I couldn't report back, so results may vary. In case...

Name Removal Sample Letter

Unfortunately, after some recent efforts by our High Priest group to make contact with some lesser known names on our ward records, we have a short list of people who would like their name removed from the records of the church. Our Bishop has tasked me with drafting the letter that we will send eac...

We have this issue and our internet connection it off of the FHC across the hall. I will add that we had this issue before, it went away (I don't know why, but thought it was after a upgrade), and it only returned now after the upgrade to 3.2.

To the best of my knowledge we have not been having the Send/Receive issues here, but just for fun I checked out mlslog.txt file, it was only 80k. :) We ARE having another issue when we do a Send/Receive though, each and every time a dialog pops up warning us we're connecting to the PRODUCTION datab...

Send/Receive to PRODUCTION server

We are having an issue when we do a Send/Receive though, each and every time a dialog pops up warning us we're connecting to the PRODUCTION database and requiring us to enter "yes" before it will proceed. We did not have this message priot to the update, any ideas on how to get rid of it?

Our update was stuck at the same point (as gauged by the total lack of movement in the progress bar) for a couple hours. Deciding that I couldn't leave it like that forever, I figuring this update should be quicker, I pressed the Exit button for the program. MLS exited cleanly, I restarted the progr...

We got an automatic update today...it's been updating the database for a *long* time now. No exact time frame here, but 20-30 minutes comes to mind. Anyone else done this? I know a lot depends on the system, but how long is this taking other people?

You can change your password daily, but how many different "mother's maiden names" do you have? The security question is an easy backdoor into many accounts, so pick a wrong answer and stick with it so you don't forget the "wrong" answer you gave. Then it can be as complex as you want, but not some...

Resolution : I got off the phone with Local Unit Support a few minutes ago, and here is the result. First, Salt Lake had done nothing to cause our original problem, or with any attempt to correct said problem. The problem was caused by our 2009 year end update not completely removing 2006 data, and...

Year End and History Question

This problem was previously posted about in two other threads, I'm starting it again here because it is not yet resolved, and I believe the two problems are connected and I wanted to present the core information in a single thread to help facilitate any responses. Background: When we did the annual ...
