Re: Accessing the LDS account of a deceased family member

I don't think there is any provision for sharing the notebook and journal of the deceased. Elder Bednar might be opposed. My brothers who attended a YSA fireside with him learned that he has a library of copies of the scriptures that he has personally studied from - a different copy for each topic. ...

Re: Face to Face with Elder Bednar

I think, rather, this is a very important and intended step for leaders not to do everything for kids just because it is easier/quicker and more likely to have smaller bumps along the way. :D Many leaders would likely have more difficulty adding comments to a page than most youth. If their are yout...

Re: How to pay tithing online?

As we have no clue when the new payment system will reach us, I would prefer to immediately inform those that are currently mailing checks to the bishop through bill pay. I don't suggest that those who are having bill pay checks mailed to their own homes be informed unless they continue to do so aft...

Re: How to pay tithing online?

In my response with the bill pay form, I specifically asked not to be set up with bill pay if it incurred either transaction fees or manual processing of transactions at church headquarters. The response I received simply provided instructions for setting up bill pay with my bank, emphasising the im...

Re: How to pay tithing online?

The impression I get is that the a small staff at CHQ handles the setup bill pay but donations made through bill pay once properly set up do not require manual processing. I contacted donations@ldschurch.org inquiring about paying using bill pay myself and informing those who currently use bill pay ...

Re: Wall mounted flat TV Screen in Bishop's office.

The real need here is a council room where the ward council can fit. Units that do not share a meetinghouse with other units can find plenty of rooms that would work; but due to busy schedules, these rooms may not be availible when needed if two wards share a meetinghouse and certainly aren't availi...

Re: stake conference broadcast using new portal - my experie

It's also pretty clear that with a upper limit of 50, we're going to have to save the links for those who really have no other options and not be handing them out to everyone who doesn't want to make the trip. Yes, it should only be homebound members if deemed appropriate by the presiding authority...

Re: Google or Office 365 for nonprofits (ward and stake use)

I can see some reasoning for using Google. The church would be able to qualify; however, Google only allows one membership per organization. "We only allow one membership per organization. However, branches of umbrella organizations that share Employee Identification Numbers (EINs) with their p...

It is on the conference web page as I mentioned in my first post; however, it is still missing from the conference feeds. To see the omission, go to the conference page and activate the "Show Feeds" link. Select either of the video feeds or the audio feed. Subscribers of these feeds will be missing ...

Perhaps there should be four roles: admin, editor, publisher, and author. Administrators can grant access rights, editors can edit content both before and after it is published and publish author submissions, publishers can publish and edit their own articles, and authors can submit and edit drafts....
