It would be helpful if the new calendars would automatically one way sync to the old calendar until the systems are merged.

I would think this is very unlikely. The Church is not devoting development resources to the Classic calendar at this point, and what you're suggesting would require some significant development work on a soon-to-be-obsolete system.

Now, if some helpful member wanted to create a tool using something like AutoIt, I'm sure there will be a number of appreciative souls.
