Camera to Projectors
So, we got one of the "new" stake centers with the dropdown projector screens in the gym/cultural hall and of chorus we also have CCTV. The only problem is that the CCTV is via coaxial cable, which were great in the days of VCRs and such. The building has no vcrs and longer, so suggestions on how to do proceed to convert the coaxial into component or vga?

Re: Camera to Projectors
We send 1080i HDMI over existing coax to projectors in all our bldgs by putting "HDMI to HD-SDI" and "HD-SDI to HDMI" converters on each each end of the coax. The converters cost $25-$35 dollars from Amazon or ebay. The attached PDF is an example what we did in one of our bldgs. Hope it helps you.

Re: Camera to Projectors
Is the coaxial jack a Type-F, RCA style, or are both present? The Type-F will most likely need a tuner, such as a VCR, but the RCA signal can typically be connected directly to the projector with a length of cable.allenblodgett wrote:So, we got one of the "new" stake centers with the dropdown projector screens in the gym/cultural hall and of chorus we also have CCTV.
