Can't see a picture Russell.
But i'm beginning to think it is not the trees unless i can do some more accurate calculation as to the tree height that said based on what i saw there is no way the tree is 9 meters higher than the bottom of the dish of course thats assuming the site that told me 9 meters is doing the calculation right.

Perhaps I am over thinking it but at least i have learnt a little in the process.

Just want the thing fixed so we have a good strong signal. that said i think the picture quality is better on the internet feed its a shame they don;t do a internet feed version of the satellite feed so we get all the bits in between with out having to find the archived sessions and play stuff separately. Thats one thing i like about the satellite feed i turn it on and leave it on all day.

Maybe i can ask for a new HDMI projector as the cisco box has HDMI out.

Sorry, I intended to have a pic, but they all came out too big to include.

Yeah I saw these the other day.

I've checked all the setting and everything is as per the
New tech pages.

Whilst waiting for the FM group I decided to email the tech missionaries servi my in our area they shared my information with some area technical specialists and they seem to think it will be the lnb so have ordered some from salt Lake and once they arrive will ask my FM group to have it fitted.

Will wait and see if this fixes things let's hope so.

We have the new Cisco D9865 and what I noticed during both the womens and priesthood live broadcast sessions of conference is once in awhile a lag or hiccup in the streaming video signal. We have the same dish and equipment that we had before with the exception of the receiver. The old one was a Wegener and it never had a hiccup or any kind of lag during a broadcast in the video. Just wondering if anything else has seen this with the new Cisco receivers? Wish we had our "old" one back. :D

Thanks...

Yep. Just got through the Priesthood Session and I counted 19-20 video glitches where it would briefly pause, then snap forward a few frames and continue. The audio usually continued uninterrupted, except for 3 times when there was a noticeable break in the audio stream.

Not sure where in the transmission path the problem is, but it really needs improvement.

My guess is that the problem is in the transmission path from the satellite to your satellite antenna, possibly a lower signal power, and your receiver is compensating for it.

We had one brief pause during the priesthood broadcast lasting about a half second. So it appears the problem was not at the transmission end.

We had rebroadcast Priesthood session this morning. About an hour in, when President Uchdorf was speaking, the English sound faded for about 3-5 seconds. My Stake President turned to me for reassurance and having read the comments posted here and elsewhere, wasn't unduly worried. Five minutes after that the sound drifted in and out several times, before finally dying completely during President Eyrings talk.

Because of finger trouble, on my part, I wasn't able to get my backup solution working. We resorted to using an iPad through the chapel sound system to finish the remaining talks.

By elimination I discovered that the Cisco sound had failed. Video throughout was fine. We have two receivers, the other being used for additional languages, so that has been utilised for the remainder of the day, with the loss of one language.

I haven't heard of any other Cisco failures, yet! But I'm sure I'm not the first and most likely not the last.

We also suffered an LNB failure two weeks ago. Good signal, no Quality, thus no picture or sound. Our FM got it fixed just before the GWC. :)
