After rebooting I noticed that the text font within MLS had changed to a point where it was difficult to read. Could not find a fix.
Read the posts in this thread for a more thorough discussion (note that my response is in a different thread from your original post). In particular, make sure that if you have an LCD monitor that the resolution is set to the native resolution.

or to provide an option for selecting which font will be used. Even that option has challenges, since different users of a single MLS installation may have different preferences based on their different physiological reactions.
Of course, if each user had the option of screen font tied to their
user account then those challenges would be mitigated. The overhead
shouldn't be too much (a binary flag would do). It might be workable
if loading the font doesn't require a restart of mls.

I'm sure the church put in the font to reduce eye-strain (unless the
idea is to cause clerks to close their eyes more often and pray),
so a choice would be a more effective way to obtain that end goal
as different people react differently to the new lettering.

It might take more then just a flag, but still it's simple enough. If you were to actually allow a user to select a different font for example, then you'd need to store information about that font.

I'm not having the same negative reaction some are to the new look of the font, but I'm not entirely happy with it either.

I've often wondered why there aren't at least a few user specific options. An easy reset option can get you back to the defaults when callings change, but it would give each user a working environment that they are more comfortable with. Actually I know why, even if it's a good workable idea, it's not viewed as important enough to devote time and resources to implement it. That's often where my suggestions fall. :D

I actually like the font change. It looks sharper than before.

Did they revert the font back to the original in this new beta?

I'm unable to tell, as I think the old font and the new font both look fine.

If I remember correctly, they did change the font back because of some issues with non-Roman characters.
