General Conference Podcast

Postby sjf2626 » Thu Apr 18, 2019 10:32 pm

The General Conference Podcast feed is not updating for the April 2019 conference talks and music. There is something wrong with the feed. I try this in the Apple Podcast app and also in an Android podcast app and neither are being updated for this past conference. Can someone look at this and see what's wrong with it?

Thanks!

I click on that link with my web browser and look at the xml that comes up, and I see April 2019.

Code: Select all

I wonder if your tools are caching the URL and are not picking up on the fact it's changed.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

This link is no longer working! I'm assuming it's because it's using LDS in the URL. I have tried replacing that with churchofjesuschrist but that doesn't work either. I really miss this feed as it would always update and I kept all my unlistened conference talks in the podcast app so that I always had something to listen to.

I hope this will get fixed!

Yes please! I know Gospel Library has the content, but it's convenient to be able to access it through my podcast aggregator

I agree with mturcios777 and dtedman that it would be nice to have the feeds back on http://feeds.lds.org/lds-general-conference-mp3-eng. I was hoping swapping out lds.org with churchofjesuschrist.org would work but it doesn't. Fingers crossed this get fixed soon.

Your post here on this user-to-user help forum may not make it to anyone with the ability to address the issue. I recommend you post feedback using the feedback link at the bottom of the general podcast site here: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/med ... s?lang=eng

It is my understanding that all feedback is read and passed along to the appropriate departments, though you may not receive an individualized response.

I posted through the feedback site and got the following response this morning:

Thank you for your feedback. We are working on the issue of restoring Podcast and RSS feeds but do not know when it will be resolved.

Hopefully it is restored soon.
