+1 on this question. I'd like to be able to once again download the Ensign mp3s for my podcast player, just like I used to do in the past.cgcrandall wrote:I am still unable to download the .zip file with MP3s of the Ensign. This problem has persisted since March 2019. Is this the new norm? Will we no longer be able to download the audio of the Ensign?

Re: new experience
There's a feedback link at the bottom of the Church website (on some pages, it's at the bottom of the left column). I'd recommend sending feedback there to request that the download links be added. I agree that having a .zip file of the MP3s would be helpful.douglastc wrote:+1 on this question. Is anyone bothered by the audio available in the August Ensign issue? It's a robot! I really like to listen and read at the same time, but that won't be happening anymore. I feel sorry for those who have problems with eyesight and depend on the audio to get the messages. I couldn't imagine listening to that unfeeling, robotic voice.

Re: new experience
Recordings for the August 2019 Ensign haven't been published yet. The robotic voice you're hearing is probably the built-in text-to-speech on your device. If you're on Android, Gospel Library will fall back to text-to-speech automatically if an audio recording isn't available.momleish wrote:Is anyone bothered by the audio available in the August Ensign issue? They've been moving around the download URL of the m4b audio files. I'm guessing that they either haven't settled on a final resting place, or they are deliberately moving it to confound the thieves of copyrighted material. Either way, they don't owe us an explanation. It is, after all, a business, run by businessmen.
The first article in the September 2019 Ensign is here: (https://media2.ldscdn.org/assets/magazi ... nload=true)
The second article in the September 2019 Ensign is here: (https://media2.ldscdn.org/assets/magazi ... nload=true)
I can't figure out what the "182" part of the URL is. It's not the volume number. "09" is the month. "002" and "003" must be the article number within a given issue. I'm guessing that "001" would be the table of contents, and maybe "000" is the whole magazine. I got lucky with that guess.

Re: new experience
It is the part of the distribution center code that identifies it as the Ensign.gmuhl wrote:I can't figure out what the "182" part of the URL is.

You use to be able to download MP3 format for Church Magazines as soon as they came out. How can I download Oct 2019 Ensign audio? thanks
