Joining child's record to the family

We had a youth that went away for an extended period of time. We transferred his records to the new unit. He recently came back to our ward but his record did not rejoin his families. He his by himself and listed as the head of household. Is there something simple I'm missing? How do I get his record joined back to his parents?

How do I get his record joined back to his parents?

Go to the father's record and edit the household to add him as a member of the household.
