Member called as a Bishop 2nd time cannot update record

A Member has been called as a Bishop for a 2nd time and has been set apart. The person who originally ordained is now deceased so his membership record is not available online. The Stake Presidency are unable to update his membership record to show his new calling as Bishop,has anyone had this happened to them. Do I have to contact GSC-eu-en in SLC

If his membership record is accurate, I'd wouldn't think that should be an issue.

Is it possible you're running into the situation where it takes two people to call someone with finance rights?

If the bishop knows the date he was ordained, just put it in the form. If the form cannot be completed without a membership record match of the person who ordained him, you will need to contact the GSC on Monday to have them record the setting apart for his new calling.

The problem is that the record of his bishop ordination doesn't have who performed it recorded. If that were recorded then it would let you record his calling as bishop. Since LCR is not letting you enter that for a deceased person you will have to call the GSC.

LCR will allow you to select a deceased officiator, but in this scenario you are required to enter the deceased officiator's MRN. With other ordinances, you can use a name and birth date.

Since you probably don't have the deceased officiator's MRN, calling the Global Services Department (guess which department has recently been renamed ) is your best option.
