Rexburg BYU-Idaho ward assignments need updating on meetinghouse locator and LCR
I am moving a sister to the Rexburg YSA 127th Ward, which she says is her new ward (She is attending BYU-Idaho). This ward and others like the Rexburg YSA 125th, 126th, etc. do not appear on the meetinghouse locator nor the menu of wards that come up in LCR when I try to move this sister out. Are those wards all new? I ask because I noticed that the highest number among the titles of the Rexburg YSA wards is 124. The meetinghouse locator and LCR also gave me the incorrect Rexburg YSA ward when I was also trying to send a few others' records to the BYU-Idaho YSA wards.
I checked the list of wards on the link https://web.byui.edu/wardsandstakes/units, from the BYU-Idaho website itself, and everything there is correctly updated with the different apartment complexes in the area assigned to the correct YSA wards, including the 125th, 126th, etc. YSA wards.
Since there are so many wards in Rexburg, should I not always count on everything being up to date in the meetinghouse locator or even LCR? Or can these updates easily be made so that I can move people to the correct wards in that area (and if so, could somebody make those updates ASAP, especially the inclusion of Rexburg YSA 127th Ward?) ?

Those wards (the ones over 124th) do not show up in CDOL so they are not currently active. It's possible that they are in the process of being created and haven't been made public yet. But until the ward is active in CDOL you won't be able to move records to the ward.
If they are in process, nobody on the forums can do anything about it. You could contact the global service center but I expect the bishoprics and clerks of those wards will already be on it since they can't do anything with membership or financial records (including accepting donations) until the units are active in CDOL.

I find it much easier to let the new ward request the records. The new ward is more likely to have correct information as to phone and address etc.johnwbennett wrote:....(and if so, could somebody make those updates ASAP, especially the inclusion of Rexburg YSA 127th Ward?) ?
It is better to click the feedback link on the LCR moveout page as those who can fix the issue are unlikely to find your post here.

It looks like BY-Idaho has just started (move-in was this past Friday), so it's possible the ward was just formed. If that's the case, it may take a week or so before it appears in the system. (Assuming the stake turns in the paperwork promptly.)
I wouldn't rule out the possibly she's mistaken about the ward. I'm constantly amazed at how little members know about the official name of the ward they attend even after going there for years.
I'm sure the ward will be doing a mass-move is as soon as they get things sorted out.

The Rexburg YSA 127th Ward is a new ward that was created yesterday. You were about 12 hours too early. See if it works today.johnwbennett wrote:I am moving a sister to the Rexburg YSA 127th Ward, which she says is her new ward (She is attending BYU-Idaho). Well, it would be easier to let the new ward request records IF the clerk there happens to be just as prompt as I, which I can't always count on. It appears difficult enough to keep up with Young Single Adults who tend to come and go so often. Besides, with our quarterly reports due early next month, I was hoping to get a more accurate statistic by moving out ASAP anyone no longer in my ward (at least for the time being).klricks wrote:I find it much easier to let the new ward request the records. Yes, it works now. I just have to select "Other Unit" and then enter the correct ward name because the default ward is still incorrect. But I can understand, considering there are so many wards there to keep track of.scgallafent wrote:The Rexburg YSA 127th Ward is a new ward that was created yesterday. In my many years of clerk experience, I have found the BYU student wards to be pretty prompt at pulling records for new students. Family wards and other YSA wards/branches, not so much...johnwbennett wrote:Well, it would be easier to let the new ward request records IF the clerk there happens to be just as prompt as I, which I can't always count on.

The maps process takes a bit longer than activating the unit so you should see it selecting that unit later this week.johnwbennett wrote:Yes, it works now. The only gotcha may be that this ward and others created the same day have notes that say they were created to serve "one floor" of a new complex at BYU-Idaho. I don't know for sure, but I would suspect that may be beyond the granularity of the maps service.jonesrk wrote:The maps process takes a bit longer than activating the unit so you should see it selecting that unit later this week.
