Field sorting necessary in search results

#1

Post by xsrossiter-p40 »

Hi,

For any of the search functions (duplicates, add name, etc) a sort needs to be allowed on the result fields (perhaps once results have been narrowed to a manageable range, say a few thousand records).

Sorting can be resource intensive but so is viewing page after page of results that have no data in any one of the fields of interest.

We also need the opportunity to tell it "not a match" so it quits showing them as "possible matches". For example, people born in differing centuries on differing continents that show up as a match could then be avoided next time a search is done.
