New LDSTech Site Features Integrate with Community Projects Print

The LDSTech website now includes more advanced integration with the community projects. If you recall, a few weeks ago we rolled out Talent Profile -- you see the Talent Profile tab when you log in to the site. Now we’ve added several more enhancements.

When you join a project, you automatically receive rights to log bugs in JIRA for that project and also download the application source code.  New member roles are set to Observer until the project manager changes it. (Note: To see the available projects, sign in, click Projects/Talent Profile in the top navigation, and then click Projects.)

Team member visibility

You can view all the team members and their roles for each project. Names are visible in the project details, as well as the role. You can also click each name to send an e-mail to the person.

Team notifications

When a new member joins or leaves a project, all the team members (except observers) are notified by e-mail. Additionally, when a team member’s role changes, all team members (except observers) are notified by e-mail.

To unsubscribe from team e-mail notifications, clear the Receive Team Emails check box on your Profile tab in Talent Profile.

Project Manager tab

If your role is project manager, you can edit project details, change the roles of your team members, and even promote another team member to product manager.

Soon we will also integrate SVN rights based on your project role.

Note: As a result of the upgrade, you may be prompted to re-sign the contributor’s license agreement.
