Entries that young women record in the Personal Progress application are now integrated with Notes and Journal (formerly called “My Study Notebook”). Both Personal Progress and Notes and Journal are LDS.org applications. Young women use Personal Progress to complete and track value experiences as part of the Young Women program. As young women complete experiences for each value, they record journal entries about the experiences. Notes and Journal allows members to annotate and record notes and journal entries about scriptures, magazine articles, and other content that they read on LDS.org. The integration of these two applications gives you a more unified experience on LDS.org. When you record journal entries in Personal Progress, they sync to Notes and Journal. The sync is two-way: If you update the entry in Notes and Journal, the entry in Personal Progress is also updated. The entries young women create in Personal Progress appear under a Personal Progress notebook in Notes and Journal. Each entry includes a tag corresponding to the value for that entry. For example, if you were to write a journal entry for a Good Works value experience, when you go Notes and Journal, you would see a Personal Progress notebook. In that notebook, the entry would have a “good works” tag. Entries have another tag as well based on the type of content. In Personal Progress, young women write both journal entries and project evaluations. These project evaluations also sync to Notes and Journal, and when they do, the entries include a "project evaluation" tag. Although Personal Progress is an application geared towards young women, actually anyone can complete the experiences in Personal Progress. The following are a few instructions to get you started. Access Personal Progress
The Personal Progress program consists of eight values. Click the value names (for example, faith) to read a description of each value. The program asks you to complete six experiences for each value. The first three experiences are required. The other three experiences allow you to choose from several listed or create your own. As you complete each experience, you record a journal entry about the experience. You also complete a project for each value and record a project evaluation.
