Hundreds of critical systems are hard at work in your car’s engine as you race down the freeway. But you do not have the time or ability to concentrate on those countless processes your desire is to reach your destination. Hence the invention of the dashboard; with a dashboard you have confidence in the vehicle you’re driving and do not need to worry about the details. 82 miles per hour, check engine light is off, temperature is good, fuel is full Drive on!

Similar to your vehicle’s dashboard, performance dashboards provide a synchronized and focused view of an overall system. Well-designed dashboards allow directors, managers, team members, and customers to know at a glance the important details that fall within their scope. Dashboards can reference multiple data sources and present real-time data relating to objectives, finances, tasks, personnel, customers, etc. When there is a potential problem, a key indicator will light up, directing needed attention to that area. These real-time warnings allow for proactive rather than reactive solutions. 

ICS currently implements dashboards in a variety of environments. Through them we are able to track progress and needs in order to perform more efficiently. A dashboard currently under development will save an estimated 800 collective hours of ICS portfolio analysts’ time over a one-year period. It will automatically generate reports and graphics and provide data that, if created manually, would require numerous hours of preparation and research.  

In the business world, the demand for performance dashboards continues to grow. ICS’ implementation of dashboards is allowing us to better manage and deliver while achieving our goal of providing quality technology solutions.
