Re: Pasting text in Send a Message

scgallafent, thanks for your clarifying explanation. Until this week I was not aware that Send a Message is really a text only system and can't accept input from commercial word processors. Now I will be able to use it the way it was designed. Maybe your explanation will alert others that this is a ...

Re: LCR was down, but back up for now

Thanks for confirming my finding. Wonder why they don’t let you use Word, the most popular word processor, without having to convert to pure text. Or, at least post an instruction that is has to be done with pure text. Good to know, after lots of time spent, what works.

Pasting text in Send a Message

I'm still trying to find out if it is necessary to only post true text files into the message area of the "Send a Message" system. Looks like the text in Microsoft Word, with no special characters or format should work. So I ask, do we need to post only true text messages and not use the o...

Re: LCR was down, but back up for now

I suspect the system was overloaded with wards and stakes sending info on the new sacrament meeting policy. I finally got my letter to go at about 4:30 pm MDT today. I saw something that said that this function can't handle any special formatting. I had a very simple word document without any specia...

Re: LCR was down, but back up for now

Is it still down today? (Sunday, August 15, 2021). Been trying to send a letter from the stake presidency to all adult children in the stake. Won't send. I put all the information requested into the on-line form and hit "send", but nothing is sent. Can't find any on-line help today. I'm a ...

Re: Loss of privileges for Stake Exec Sec??

One more thing. There was more information in the Tools system than in Leader and Clerk Resources. Some of the information is still in both, such as dates sustained, etc., but a lot has been removed. Maybe they are making Tools and LCR more the same? Sorry to take so much time here. Just hate to see...

Re: Loss of privileges for Stake Exec Sec??

Thanks for the above comments. I have spent some time today looking through the Access Table. I've compared my access with the stake clerk's and we both have access to the member profiles. I have a very limited amount of data that I can access. Not sure if the Stake Clerk has additional access in hi...

Re: Loss of privileges for Stake Exec Sec??

I've been in this position, Stake Exec Sec, for over ten years. I used to be able to see the priesthood ordinations, missions served, ordinances they have received, etc. Sometimes when getting someone cleared by the high council or ready for an appointment to meet with the stake presidency, some of ...

Loss of privileges for Stake Exec Sec??

I used to be able to see membership information on both the Church website and Tools. That is very helpful in setting up appointments for priesthood advancements and others for members of the stake presidency. i don't see any changes in the access list for my calling. is there any way for me to rega...
