Re: Webcast current and future capacity

There actually is a higher capacity solution in the works (also briefly mentioned in that thread).

Re: How many receiving sites can we have?

I thought general conference used a multicast method.

At any rate, we were scheduled to have our stake conference this weekend, and I got an email from the church yesterday (before the bigger announcement) saying the system can handle 400 receiving locations.

Re: How many receiving sites can we have?

That’s why I said the number of units streaming would be an issue, although an inside contact says only 200, so I guess it is a separate stream for each receiving location. I guess it’s not the same method as general conference.

Re: How many receiving sites can we have?

A number of units have been having virtual meetings lately, I thought I heard of a stake conference as well. I should know what technology they are using but don’t, but I would think the number of units broadcasting would be the main issue, not the number of receiving sites.

Re: How many receiving sites can we have?

Thanks, I thought there was something like that, but I wasn't in a position to set up an event to see. Now I see that when you hover over it, but the guide simply says more than 75 sites. I'm not sure why my stake president is asking but I suspect it might be for the reason that lajackson mentioned.

How many receiving sites can we have?

Is there a limit to the number of receiving sites we can have?

Re: Lost all MLS users

Thank you, I found that wiki article, lot's of good information there. I'll have to look at that next time; I didn't know there was a way to restore a backup without logging in. I went ahead and reinstalled MLS before I got these responses. Of course, it took 15 minutes to download the installer bec...

Lost all MLS users

One of my ward's MLS now shows no available users, and no one can log in. We thought this might have something to do with the restriction on the number of users/roles that was implemented this week, but I suspect it's more than that. Any solution other than reinstalling MLS?

Setup/Cleanup Times

Will setup/cleanup times ever be added back to the week view? This is really, really, really frustrating. I haven't seen discussion on this in a while, but supposedly it was on the list. On a related note, it would be so much better if we could just enter custom start and end times for setup/cleanup...

Re: Youth Face to Face Broadcast

Well they actually did have a long (1 hour or so) pre-roll, but the music parts were a little boisterous for the chapel so I had to keep it down.

It did go a lot longer than I anticipated.
