This year the English version of all sessions of General Conference streamed perfectly when live! Woohoo! That's the first time in quite awhile for me. (We have used the ASL - American Sign Language - stream to circumvent this problem in the past.) However, trying to stream the video from the archiv...

Ahhh, but that doesn't give me today's missing email. I only got a short note referring to it once again. My missionary tends to print my posts to read later because only a few minutes are allowed online. Hopefully she'll follow the suggestion next week --- after she has a chance to read it.

Most people in my stake have computers & printers @ home. Small quantities -- and sometimes large quantities -- of copies are made at home, not @ the library any more. Ripped video from conference talks, etc., seems more convenient to prepare than requesting a DVD or video because then teachers know...

I like Google calendar because I can view everything to which I am subscribed, or hide all but what is important to me. I am blessed to live in a very active stake. However, I don't need to know *every* stake calendared item all the time. Most of the time, I need to see my own ward & one of our YSA ...

Thanks. I passed your suggestion along. Too bad that this has been a known problem for some time now, but is ignored.

The LDS missionary email system is frustrating. I don't know what, exactly, it is doing, but it seems to freeze, loosing what my missionary typed. It did that several times on the same p-day, resulting in a short note about how the allotted time was spent retyping the email several times & now it's ...

My payroll is not a monthly event, but fast offerings & missionary payments are. Therefore, every payday my bank electronically makes my tithing payments. I cut a real check to hand to the bishopric monthly.

I have also heard that there are additional problems with this reservation system. For example, somebody does research & prepares individual names to take to the temple. Perhaps they go to the temple the following day, or maybe a month or two later. When they hand the barcoded printout over to be sc...

nFS is slow, but waaaaaayy faster than it was a couple of years ago. It actually used to automatically log off the user after about 15-20 (?) minutes without using the keyboard on the nFS website. That includes the time that it was searching! It's not so bad now.

I would think that any Yahoo! group or similar that is Ward based could be a breeding ground for gossip. I also think people can get funny when they find out that people are talking about them on the internet. Interesting. In over a decade, I haven't seen that become a problem in SA groups or...
