Re: Organ Audio Out

Many newer organs have an XLR output connection. Our organ was installed last year (Allen LD-34b) and the connection is behind the back panel. To access it you have to lift the top (which requires releasing a catch by sliding something thin on the left side to release), then turn the latches to open...

Re: Webcast Sound Problem for Some

The Teradek was connected by the install team as part of the install. The specific plans from Spectrum Engineers for this building install state on the second page: "FM group Responsibilities ... Locate/provide Teradek Vidiu webcast encoder to AV contractor @ start of installation." And th...

Re: Webcast Sound Problem for Some

The result is a transformer isolated mono (tip and ring) output. I'd say the real issue is that they didn't use the right jack. The "How-to Guide for Meetinghouse Webcast 3.0" says Vidiu Audio Settings should be "Analog" , "Stereo", "Line", Left Mute "Of...

Re: Webcast Sound Problem for Some

We had the same issue. Tech support said it was a known problem on smartphones and to recommend using a computer for listening. Sound was good for some viewers and bad for others even on computers. Then I found using a computer connected to a TV with surround enabled made the problem worse. Yesterda...

Re: Mi Box S beta program

I had a similar experience, wondered if I had done something wrong, waited a while, swapped the HDMI cable, then finally power cycled it and it came up fine.

Re: Mi Box S beta program

After we tested them they provided the unlock code. The test was just receiving from a remote location, so that was a pretty quick test. I think the goal of testing was to try it in a bunch of different environments.

Re: Mi Box S beta program

We are a beta site. It worked so well we used it for Stake Conference last weekend and it was flawless. It is very easy to use - the app displays the events currently scheduled in your stake, you click on it and that's it. Dead simple to use. It has an HDMI output (which includes audio) and a separa...

Re: HD using HDMI vs SDI vs NDI vs ?

The latest instructions from FM about installing Meraki MR33's said that switches should be upgraded to gigabit POE switches which can be purchased locally (that is where they specified gigabit and POE) or through the estore that FM uses. This was in an email sent on March 15, 2019 in the FAQ link, ...

Re: USB Flash setup for Come Follow Me videos on Roku Player

The full year of 2019 New Testament video library ("Come, Follow Me: New Testament Learning and Teaching Resources") for 720p (medium) resolution was just added. Is this what you were looking for? Forgive the whining, but it is a non-trivial task to manually adjust for all the errors in th...

HD using HDMI vs SDI vs NDI vs ?

For webcasting stake conference we currently use 3 PTZ cameras, but they are SD. We acquired our current setup with a mixer/preview monitors, text overlay, projectors, cabling and so on over a period of several years. About once a year I spend some time considering a switch to HD and weighing the co...
