Re: Getting Audio right with Virtual Sacrament Meeetings
It is not ideal to feed the organ into the chapel speakers. It can be done as a workaround to get organ sound into the zoom feed. Separate organ speakers are designed for the volume and frequency range for organ music. Newer church sound systems feed an organ direct output (via an internal XLR conne...

Re: Excess Budget funds stake sweep
It appears that funds were only pulled from stakes, not wards. Funds were pulled if the amount in the stake budget category on 31 December 2022 ( not including ward funds ) exceeded 50% of the total allocation of funds to the stake including wards for 2022. This is listed in LCR Finance under "...

Re: Getting Audio right with Virtual Sacrament Meeetings
Newer organs (like the Allen LD-34b Organ) have an XLR output that can feed the sound system. If your building is like many of ours, you won't have that option. A microphone plugged in on the stand can be used to pickup the organ sound, and can also give some pickup from congregational singing. Stan...

Re: Excess Budget funds stake sweep
For our stake, 95% of trek costs are for 3 items: Food, Costs for the camp, and transportation. We have hired school buses which are expensive, but less than the cost of fuel for the many members driving mini-vans. Most members would donate time/vehicle/fuel, but that did not seem appropriate when u...

Re: Excess Budget funds stake sweep
It appears that the budget sweep was based on total allocation of funds to the stake including wards. A small amount was pulled from our stake today. You can find it under "Income and Expense details" / "Budget Allocations" labeled as "Collect 2022 budget excess funds as per...

Re: AV configuration for dual language broadcasts?
The newer building AV systems using digital mixers are capable of doing what you need for multiple language interpreters in the building, but it takes FM getting a contractor to implement the programming. I'm not sure how easy that will be to get that done in your area. What you need is called "...

Re: What is the unit number for church headquarters (to transfer excess budget)?
For "From" you must use "Budget: Budget Allocations"
For "To" select "Out of Unit" then the top entry in the pull-down will be "Headquarters"
The form seems a little finicky, so if it doesn't work the first time, start over and try again.

Re: Getting Audio right with Virtual Sacrament Meeetings
My other two buildings have the Allen AP-22 and the Allen LD-34B model organs, which don't have the aux-out ports. The Allen LD-34B we have does have a connection for audio out (XLR). It is inside the cabinet. Use something thin and flat and slide it under the top on the left toward the back to rel...
