Can a clerk (or others) see where records were moved to?

We have a situation where a woman has fled her abusive husband, and is staying with family in our ward. She is very concerned that if we transfer her records, that her husband would be able to find out where the records were transferred to, and find her. I don't know how long she is planning to stay...

I second that notion

The ability to mark scriptures and make notes and have them sync to lds.org and other devices is marvelous and a huge boon to studying the scriptures when you've just got a quick minute here and there. But I miss having access to my study notebooks and journal entries on my iPhone. Here's hoping tha...

Oh, and you can also buy software assurance (upgrade protection) when you buy your licenses if you choose, but given how often wards/stakes upgrade their hardware/software, I personally don't think it makes financial sense.

OK, I think I FINALLY have some definitive answers here. The church has a volume license agreement with Microsoft for purchases for headquarters, departments, BYU, etc. They don't want stakes/wards piggybacking off that agreement because it could potentially be a huge cost and maintenance/administra...

I would think that the Tax Administration department would be your best source. I know that each stake has a federal EIN, but I don't know how that relates to a 501(c) certificate. I've always found the people in Tax Administration to be very helpful and they will be happy to redirect you to the co...

I'm trying really hard to fit our policies into the new calendar system, and we've run into another snag. Our stake has all youth activites only on tuesday and wednesday to allow for more family time. This means that buildings with three wards end up sharing a night with another ward for youth activ...

A little background: We originally had a building scheduler for each building. Regular ward (i.e. youth) activities didn't involve the building scheduler - the buildings were simply reserved for ward activities on their activity night. To simplify building scheduling, eliminate conflicts, and make i...

Schedule resources independent of event calendars

This topic has been discussed a bit here: https://tech.lds.org/forum/showthread.php?6156-Calendar-Best-Practices/page2&highlight=calendar+resource but that's a long thread with a lof of other issues, and I wanted to concentrate on just this issue/question. Our members have gotten used to the pro...

Thank you for all the comments. My next question is on how I would purchase it, and may speak to a more general purchasing question for units. If I want to buy the non-profit, or "charity" license, I am going to have to provide a 501C certificate to prove that we are a non-profit. Is there...

Microsoft Office License for MLS computers

I am trying to find an approved method for purchasing and using Microsoft Office 2010 on MLS computers (or at least one MLS computer in the stake clerk's office). I know they have OpenOffice installed on them, but our Stake Presidency and clerks all use and are familiar with Microsoft Office (partic...
