Re: Audio Scriptures Played from Google Home

I love the idea of making it as easy as possible to listen to the audio version of the scriptures. It would be great if you could request a particular verse through voice on standalone devices like Amazon Echos and Google Homes, as well as on mobile devices. We should make it smart enough to know if...

Re: Missionary Tablets

The rare exceptions are ones that are rebranded as Nooks, ones that are locked to some cellular data providers, and ...

Our missionaries currently have the Ipad mini's provided by the Church and I had not heard of missions requiring A...

Re: New Internet Filter

Update: A larger wave of meetinghouses are scheduled to have DNS locked down today to only allow Church-specified Domain Name System (DNS) entries. Any devices connected to Meetinghouse Internet that have been set to use non-Church specified DNS servers should be changed to use approved Church meeti...

The GSC should be able to do this as long as you aren't requesting it to only be disabled temporarily.

Re: New Internet Filter

I did receive the "Meeting House Internet Change" email discussed in this thread, but what is not outlined in the email, and what I didn't realize until speaking with GSC, is that zPath is a DNS based filtering solution. DNS based filtering is easy to subvert unless additional steps are t...

Re: New Internet Filter

My notice came via email, although I have no idea if that is because I am the STS or because I am subscribed to Tech messages at my LDS Account. For some reason I usually don't get messages sent to the STS (although I am shown as one), so I suspect the latter. An explanation of how this works is av...
