Re: Canon MS300 Scanner SCSI & interfacing Win 7, 64 bit

For all that might need the Adaptec settings for the newer faster SCSI cards, I have attached the setting information edit via the SCSI Utility.

Re: Canon MS300 Scanner SCSI & interfacing Win 7, 64 bit

Can you share what changes were made? We are suffering from the same problem. What model of computer and SCSI card do you have? I downloaded from Adaptec (SCSI card) the software for Win 7, 64 bit & the SCSI utility which I installed on new computer. If you have a new SCSI card those programs s...

Re: Scrubbing Hard Drive on old FHC computers

Personally, I use DBAN It's also what clerksupport recommends: Erasing a Hard Drive . It should be adequate for FHC purposes. It does take time. I'd recommend starting it before your block meeting. Thanks Russell, I was thinking it was DBAN that I used last time, but wasn't sure. I appreciate the l...

Scrubbing Hard Drive on old FHC computers

Now, we are up & running with new FHC computers. I need to scrub the old computers before giving them to FM for disposal. I use to have a program the Church provided for scrubbing the hard drives. Does anyone know where I can locate the latest scrubbing software? When I go to Help Center, Family...

Re: Canon MS300 Scanner SCSI & interfacing Win 7, 64 bit

Praise the Lord!! With the help from Adaptec technical support, which I would give an A+++ for customer service, I got the old Canon MS300 scanner up and running :) . Some of the settings on the Adaptec SCSI controller card had to changed for Windows 7, 64 bit to see the scanner. Tech support guided...

Re: Canon MS300 Scanner SCSI & interfacing Win 7, 64 bit

Consequently, Windows, and windows programs can't talk to the scanner. The Utility can, but it probably has it's own internal driver. You may need a ASPI driver. Thanks, Russell. I agree the two do not seem to be communicating. Yesterday I reinstalled the Adaptec drivers (Win 7 64 bit), and then re...

Canon MS300 Scanner SCSI & interfacing Win 7, 64 bit

Help! I’m stumped and before I contact Adaptec (I couldn’t find a Canon person knowledgeable a few weeks ago), I thought I would see if anybody has any suggestions. DanPass & their FHC director were kind enough to send our FHC their Adaptec 29320LPE PCI-Express Ultra320 SCSI Controller Card. I d...

Re: New FHC Computers Is RATOC SCSI to USB cable still avail

If you are needing the 64-bit drivers for any of the three major microfilm/fiche readers (Canon MS300, MS300 II, MK MS6000 MKII) they are available through the FHC Application Finder (Digital Imaging System 64-bit Drivers). Also, I am in the process of creating a package and knowledge article perta...

Re: New FHC Computers Is RATOC SCSI to USB cable still avail

The card I have, to which you are welcome is the Adaptec 29320LPE PCI-Express Ultra320 SCSI Controller Card . I also have an adapter cable TMC C7030-3PA-AT -- VHDCI68-HD50, 3FT, w/Active High-Byte . We paid $125 for the card and $34 for the cable. I'm pretty sure our FHC director will agree to just...

Re: New FHC Computers Is RATOC SCSI to USB cable still avail

The old HP Comapq 530 has an Adaptec AHA 2930 cu SCSI card. The old card is 2.5 x 4.7 inches, so will not fit in new Dell Optiplex 7010 which has one PCI slot & one PCI express slot that are smaller. There is a Win 7 32 bit driver for the old card, but no Win 7 64 bit driver. Speed is real slow ...
