Re: EVI-D80 Camera Controller
Welcome to the forum Jim, I'm sure you'll be able to gain a lot of knowledge from the website and if you have questions, it's also a good place to ask. The Sony EVI-D70 is now retired and Sony's replacement is the EVI-D80 . The two cameras are pretty much the same but the new EVI-D80 model has bette...

Re: Crab Box, Time for a redesign-overhaul. Audio volume issues
Direct boxes are great for matching impedance and attenuating signals from headphone and line level (RCA jacks) sources to the church sound system's microphone jacks in the cultural hall and chapel. You can purchase one for as little as $10 from eBay vendors ( link ). They also have a selector switc...

Re: Connecting a Ipad to sound sistem what to do for best result

Re: SLC shut our Webcasting session down for Regional Conference
They've since obtained additional licenses, so according to them, "it shouldn't happen again".
Deja Vu...it failed again for the February 14th NW Regional Conference.

Re: Recommended Composite to HDMI scaler
Mono price is cheap, but not reliable. The Startech product is good, the BMD is great. Having worked in commercial AV for the past 10 years, cheap rarely wins....
I second that. I've had great success with Blackmagic Design mini-converters.

Re: Videonics MX-1 Video Mixer Tips and Tricks
I would first test both the PC and MX-1 to see if the PC output still works on a TV, and another source will work on the MX-1. Assuming that all works, then experiment with the PC resolutions. It's possible that the PC video is in Progressive Scan mode. The NTSC video input on the MX-1 needs to be I...

Regional Webcasting - Confusing
My recent experience with the webcasting portal for a Regional event was very confusing and problematic. I've spoken with the GSC about some of my issues (even a higher tier) but I feel letting others know about these issues will help them through confusion in case modifications to the portal don't ...

Re: Videonics MX-1 Video Mixer Tips and Tricks
My first concern is to assume the MX-1 was defective or not set up correctly - but you said... On another computer with an older video card use an S -Video cable direct the board and colorful works normally My assumption is that the computer with Geforce GT 630 or your scan convert is not outputting...

Re: Connecting camcorder HDMI output to bldg rf/composite video distribution system (& VidiU)
I've used several inexpensive 1:4 HDMI splitters with good results. Just make sure they are powered - not passive (no power).

Need more information on church backup procedures
I have some questions regarding clerk's computer backups. Handbook 1, 13.3.3 instructs the STS to regularly backup data files and store them away from the building. How often is regular? Which files are to be backup? Where the files (stored away from the building) should be stored? Are there any pro...
