Re: Not all unit calendars push to external calendar viewer
The sync url can be used on the Google Calendars site to view it there via web browser. I would consider this an external viewer. Google Calendar entries can then be viewed by other applications to which permission is given to manage the calendar, such as on an iPhone or through Mozilla Thunderbird....

Not all unit calendars push to external calendar viewer
Our ward has ten sub-calendars, such as Ward Activities, Young Men, Young Women, etc. Not all of these calendars show up in an external calendar viewer, such as Mozilla Thunderbird or on an iPhone. Both of these viewers view an email account to which the calendar has been added via URL (http://www.l...

setting up new FHC printers to scan
Hi all, Our FHC has the new Lexmark MX511dhe scanner which I set up successfully to print. Someone brought in an old scanner to use in the center which I proudly denied saying we had a fancy new all-in-one. I then thought I ought to make sure it actually does scan. Needless to say it did not. I've s...

Phone & Internet bundling
A building in our stake has three phone lines: one for the bishop, one for the hall, and one for the Family History Center. The first two are direct billed through Granite; the third is paid for by the stake. The internet (DSL) is on the FHC line but paid for by the local Facilities Maintenance grou...

viewing financial data in offline copy of MLS 3.5
Due to the size of our stake our stake presidency only meets at the stake center once a month; other weeks we meet in closer buildings. As a result I make updates to MLS (as stake clerk) once a month or when our assistant clerk is at the stake center. I then keep a copy of the backup file and use it...

changing the language setting in MLS - Windows 7 doesn't work
I tried changing the language setting of MLS to Spanish per the instructions in the wiki http://tech.lds.org/wiki/Changing_the_L ... ing_in_MLS. This works on an XP system but on a Windows 7 system the product.properties file is updated back to English as MLS opens. Any suggestions?

underscore in MLS standard position names
We just created a new YSA branch in our stake. We put MLS 3.4.2 on a new computer and did the first two send/receives. The Branch President came down on the second transfer. When we went to put in the counselors, the standard positions all had underscores in the names (e.g. BRANCH_1ST_COUNSELOR) and...

It was a local calendar
Our Stake Executive Secretary created a local calendar and called it Church-Wide Events. At least he didn't re-schedule General Conference.

October 2011 General Conference not on Church-wide events calendar
I do not see October 2011 General Conference on the Church-Wide Events layer of the new lds.org calendar. Am I blind (no John references please) or is this an error?
