I was a ward membership clerk in 1992, so I saw those records also, but trying to remember that kind of detail 30 later isn’t going to happen.

Re: Membership Record Number Ending in “A”

Cool, thanks everyone. I appreciate the info, especially given the fact that outside of church I’m an historian (and I also enjoy Church history), so all of this is definitely interesting to me.

Re: Membership Record Number Ending in “A”

I think a good short answer might be: Valid membership record numbers may end with a number or with the letter A. The "A" at the end has nothing to do with the member's status or anything else related to information on their membership record. Sounds good. Was the check digit used in memb...

Thanks. Most of that answer on that was over my head, but I’ll go with it the best I can. :D

Membership Record Number Ending in “A”

This question is only for general knowledge. I conducted a temple recommend renewal interview today, and the member asked if I knew why her record number ended with the letter “A”. She said no one has been able to tell her the answer, and she was just curious. When I was a ward clerk 15 years ago I ...

Re: E-mail to All Quorum Members

If you have a calling that allows access. The access table says he should have access to the Send a Message app. I almost wish I didn't! :D My last calling was EQ secretary, before that I was the ward finance clerk, and I was a ward clerk years ago, so I know my way around most of this stuff. I was...

Re: E-mail to All Quorum Members

If you have a calling that allows access. LCR>Applications>Send a Message is where you will find what you are looking for. Thanks, that was the trick! I wish these things came with instructions or could at least be found in the Help pages, which is where I looked first. I consider myself well above...

E-mail to All Quorum Members

I was asked by my bishop to forward an e-mail to all of the members of the elders quorum from one of our Gospel Doctrine instructors that contains her lesson in PowerPoint format. I went to the online directory for my ward and it read my mind because before I did anything, a little window popped up ...

Re: Ministering Assignments Deleted

I realized that most of my posts were under my old user name “SRwardclerk”. I changed it after I was released. Well, the SR (Stewart Ranch) ward was dissolved, and so was my calling. You've been re-united with your old posts. This badge is occasionally good for something. Thank you very much! :D I ...

Re: Ministering Assignments Deleted

I haven't had a calling with access to Leader and Clerk Resources for a few years, but I believe there's a draft/staging area where ministering changes can be made and saved, before they're published for everyone to see. When you saved it to send over to the bishop, was it in draft/staging mode, or...
