Member Login

I have a situation where a non-member had a login to see the callendar for her Member daughter. Then she got baptized and is needing her member number to be associated with her login because she is not allowed to create a new login under her Membership number because it say's she already has a login...

Local Unit Support has extended hours on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:30am to 8:00pm MT. Most people can find a time on those days to call. I wouldn't count on anyone monitoring tens of thousands of units. When there are widespread problems that have fixes in the code itself, a general patch is r...

The multiple girls camp accounts would show from the multiple times it was created. What doesn't register is that over a week of checking the data, nothing shows up until today. That isn't consistent with the creation of the sub categories. Yes, under "Other: Authorized Member Financed Activities" W...

Great, we will try and I'll report back. I know of adding it this way, but didn't think to try because while entering the donation info, we were focused inside of the batch instead of going outside to work it out. Thanks Reporting back. Now there seems to be even more of a bug in MLS. As I went in ...

I agree with you and drug my feet for about 2 months trying to convince the Bishop it would be an administration nightmare, but it's my nightmare, not his... The Bishop's reasoning is too long to fully explain here, but it finally pretty much came down to, "if it is possible, just do it, please." H...

And a metal cage would defeat the purpose. Something else to consider, while generally height is a good thing as it gets you above the local "ground clutter". But too much height can create problems too. Depending on the design of the building, you might end up with the signal having to go though t...

Does anyone know if there is a limit? The reason I'm asking is my Bishop wants an individual "other" account for each youth (the reasoning is too long to go into here). So, I created about 60 accounts that are each named for an individual. The problem is, MLS randomly de-activates some of them. Twi...

Few things worse then wiring something up and finding that location doesn't work. Been there, done that...just too frustrating. One additional tid-bit. When "dry-fitting" the AP, always assume a little variance when poking the AP in a ceiling. There will be just a slight signal loss. Also: I wonder...

The method you describe is suppose to be one way to create a sub-account. There is another way. It may be a good way to see if there is a bug. Select the menu item Finance > Budget > Update Categories. Expand the Other category by clicking the plus (+) sign to see the list of sub-categories. Do the...

Under the recent policy changes, you should not be buying access points for the Cisco 881W to extend the wireless range. Instead, work with the FM group to procure Cisco 1041 WAPs. See Wireless networking (meetinghouse) on the wiki for details. Also, if the cabling isn't there for APs, Never prewir...
