Re: Why is there No Simple Text File of the Standard Works?
I wish I had the skills to do write such a script. I work in healthcare and I'm not deeply technical, so I'm afraid I just had to do it the long and hard way. The work has been done (It took a few hours). I'm happy to make it available to others in my situation who can't write scripts to automate it...

Re: Why is there No Simple Text File of the Standard Works?
I know that this reply comes 9-ish years late, but I found this thread a little while ago looking for the same thing -- a plain text download of the Book of Mormon. I wanted a plain-text copy so I could put it into my Microsoft OneNote and take much more detailed, tagged, and searchable notes/drawin...

Re: Reimbursement Form
I like the idea of the envelope. I might incorporate the method some time in my next iteration. Along the lines of passing along ideas, I'll offer a PDF and Word document (so you can edit it to your ward's needs) that our ward uses. PDF: https://goo.gl/Af5vZa Word Doc (You can download it from there...

Scout office ward account - allowed?
A question came up regarding money spent at the scout office: The scout office has the ability to have an account there (or multiple accounts for cub scouts and boy scouts) where the ward could deposit money into the account, and when a member makes a purchase, the expense is simply drawn from that ...

Distributing "Tithing and Other Offerings Statements" by household instead of by individual?
In the training material for tithing settlement, it says that (1:10 in to the video): About one month before tithing settlement appointments begin, the clerk should print and distribute a "Tithing and other offerings" statement for each donor from MLS [...] This information is confidential...

Youth Conference expenses paid from "other" or not?
I'm hoping for some clarification on what is allowed relating to youth conference expenses and where the money comes from. "Youth conferences are to be funded from the stake or ward budget. Members should not be asked to pay for youth conferences." (Handbook 2, section 13.4 - https://www.l...

Re: printing addresses directly to envelopes rather than lab
While I type, I'm actually printing onto envelopes using LibreOffice. I downloaded the ward directory from the website as a *.CSV file. Yes, LibreOffice has a Mail merge capability, but you'll have to do some searching through LibreOffice documentation for the details of how it works. Briefly, what ...

Many thanks. I'll try it out that way. Yesterday, I just opened up a broadcast on the computer while it was broadcasting to check the sound levels. You can't exactly do volume changes and see immediate results with the delay, but it wasn't a big deal. I think it'll work better that way though. Thank...

Visual audio meter not working, but audio is being broadcast
I recently purchased a Windows 7 home x64 system, and I'm trying to get Meetinghouse Webcast set up on it. I'm using Meetinghouse v. 2.1 with the 64 bit WM Encoder (with much thanks to one of you who helped me find the WMEx64). In my test broadcasts, the broadcast is received fine with video and aud...
