Re: Notice to STS - Using Zoom Webinars...
Since webcast is what we used at the stake center for stake conferences, I've been working to get our other buildings setup and assistants trained so that every unit in our stake is broadcasting. The stake center has a video mixer and a teradek but the other buildings are just using a webcam and old...

Re: Mi Box S beta program
I just received a survey from the church asking questions about the use of and potential removal of satellite systems. In my experience the satellite doesn't provide a good image and is often in need of repair. I would be happy to see it replaced with streaming devices that could be used for global ...

Re: Mi Box S beta program
Does it have the ability to also play General Conference? That would make it twice as useful as we get much better quality video from the internet than the satellite.

Understanding broadcast telemetry
I'm going to be Webcasting our stake conference in a few weeks and I've been doing tests to try and ensure things go as smooth as possible. I'm curious if anyone here can share insight into the broadcast telemetry charts that are available. I've attached one from the test I did today for reference. ...

Windows Post-Install Wizard breaks machine
I'm a STS and I'm trying to setup a clerk computer for a new branch we created. After starting up and logging in LDSProvisioning.exe (Windows Post-Install Wizard) runs and installs MLS, etc. After doing so, the machine reboots and then fails to load windows. The Windows Startup repair can't fix the ...

Just downloaded an update from the marketplace that fixed the video issue by linking to the mp4 video file! Awesome!

Re: LDS Gospel Library videos don't play on Windows Phone 8
It's not a Windows 8 issue. Windows 8 can play the WMV just fine. It's a Windows Phone 8 issue, and I'm assuming there is still a Windows phone dev team. They don't need to update the app to be Window phone 8 app to fix this issue, just update the existing phone 7 app. What may appear to be a simpl...

and I did sent an email to GospelLibrary-wp@ldschurch.org via the in-app link with this information, though I didn't think about emailing it until after I posted here.

Re: LDS Gospel Library videos don't play on Windows Phone 8
edit for correct codec information: alternatively, the church could go back and re-encode every existing WMV file to use a newer (supported by Windows Phone 8) WMV codec (this is WMV 9 or higher and WMA Standard/Pro audio), but somehow I think it's easier to point the app at the already existing com...
