Re: Liahona Sign-in on Church TV

Back when our FM group replaced our CRT TV with a shiny new 32-inch LCD LG TV, I noticed an RJ-45 jack on the back, so naturally, I connected it to a hub or switch. Bzzt. That was a maintenance port only. My hub or switch died because of it. Live and learn! (And read the manual.)

Re: Meeting house lease Wi-Fi connection duration too short (for someone who goes in a daily basis to the building)

I am not aware that anyone can change the default lease time for network connections. The only thing your technology specialist could do would be to add your devices to the No Splash policy, so you would never have to see or agree to the terms of service. However, I have heard there is a limit to th...

Re: Moving Records Out.

You must first split the household using the Household tab. Then you can change the son's address without affecting the rest of the family.

Re: Sharing our experience with Virtual Sacrament Meeting Broadcasts

That's funny, since YouTube Live TV costs me $75 per month. Assuming you turn off the mic and camera for the Sacrament ordinance, do you do the same for baby blessings during Sacrament meeting? Our recent Sacrament meeting Zoom attendance doubled for the first ten minutes so relatives could watch a ...

Gospel Library videos

Our meetinghouse has a cable modem with 200 Mbps service. After Sacrament meeting today, a member approached me with his iPad and said, "You have serious problems with your Internet." On his iPad, he was running the Gospel Library app, and had problems playing a video in the app. I think h...

Re: Missionary account closed, now leftover funds are missing

All donations become the property of the Church, so technically, it is no longer your money. Having said that, I would ask your ward clerk if he can open the donation batch and change the donation category from the ward mission fund to tithing. If it was an online donation, he may have to coordinate...

Re: Ministering visit tracking software

This seems to be similar to the day long ago when monthly reports became quarterly reports, but many local leaders still wanted to track monthly stats. The church software had been changed such that monthly stats could no longer be tracked, so clerks and secretaries were forced to track stats outsid...
