Re: Printing Mailing Labels
If you fold the statements right, you can use windowed envelopes.

Re: File Sharing
If you want access to be fully controlled, I can't think of a good way.
But you could upload to Google Drive and get a shareable link, which you can share via email or the Newsletter. Anybody who has the link will be able to view the file, but you can control who receives the link.

Re: Downloading LCR Reports
I can select the rows of a report, copy, then paste into a Google spreadsheet, where the table format is preserved. I would imagine the same thing happens with Excel or Word.

Re: Add adult child to member's record
In the end, everything worked out. I sent a special request and the record was linked. It is possible that if I had waited longer it would have worked itself out on its own. To be clear, I added the child by viewing the children tab of the membership record, clicking "Add child", and selec...

Re: Add adult child to member's record
Thanks everyone. I gave this a try and I'll wait patiently to see what happens.Things like the confirmation date won't show up until you've done a Send/Receive, waited for CHQ to fully process the change (and I don't know how long this kind of change takes) and then do another Send/Receive.

Re: Add adult child to member's record
The daughter was baptized a couple of months before her mother. My theory is that they just never got linked properly, although I have no knowledge of how this kind of linking happens.Gary_Miller wrote:By chance is this daughter a step daughter. If so she would not be on the mothers record only the fathers.

Add adult child to member's record
Here is my situation: A member in our ward has a daughter who is not listed among her children when I print the member's individual ordinance summary. The (adult) daughter is a member, but lives in a different ward. I want to add the daughter to the member's record. When using the "Add child&qu...

As a financial clerk, I disagree that processing Bill Pay checks is an administrative burden. Many members mail tithing to the Bishop anyway, so he's used to bringing in mail. Filling out a tithing slip is not that difficult, and not having to read someone's handwriting makes up for any lost time. T...

Try pdfcreator
I agree that things could be done much more efficiently if there was some kind of electronic log. In the meantime, try pdfcreator: www.pdfforge.org/pdfcreator It has a "silent" option which allows files "printed" to it to be given automatic names, like the current date and time. ...

It seems to me that the 2004 letter has been superseded by instructions in Handbook 2, 21.1.22, which says individuals can make web sites to help them with their callings as long as they follow some guidelines.
