Re: Family History Center computer stuck at 'Configuring Windows 10'

I had that happen for the PC's I was installing as well. 7 of 8 worked. 1 did not. I used one of the working PC's to download the Windows 10 image from the Portal. Then I also needed to download the Dell Network drivers (they were not on the Portal Windows 10 Image.) I started the install process wi...

Re: Stake Divided, Can't remove events

Thanks for your quick reply. I added myself as the "building scheduler, and now have access. I will see if we can contact those wards and have them remove their events.

Stake Divided, Can't remove events

I am the Stake Tech Specialist; and Web Site Admin, and am configured as an Admin (by calling. Twice.) Our Stake was recently divided. Some wards that used to be in the Stake Center are now assigned to other buildings. The previous Building Scheduler (who is now in the other stake) had created year-...

Re: Sony EVI-D70: Results of first Stake Conference Webcast

I know that this is a very old post, but it sure seems be have a lot of pertinent information. Just one question. The Powerpoint shows a laptop and mentions that the laptop "controls the camera and adds text". How did you connect the Camera to the laptop; and feed the combined output (vide...

Re: Multiple viewing locations for Web Broadcast in Remote B

mikerowaved is correct. The Stake Center has the afore-mentioned AVDH-2 hub, and we sprinkle TV's around that building (RS, Primary, and YW Rooms; and projector and TV's in the gym). Unfortunately, the "remote" buildings have no such infrastructure: no building Coax, no Satellites, no buil...

Re: Dedicated laptops for receiving webcasts in all building

You might try Powerline networking. We needed an Access Point in the "Seminary wing" of one of our buildings, and the FM group was unwilling to provision a drop. We purchased ZyXEL 600 Mbps Mini Powerline AV2 Gigabit Adapter with AC Pass Through http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EPGHHSS/...

Multiple viewing locations for Web Broadcast in Remote Build

This is a long post, with a simple question: For Stake Conference, the Stake President wants to have video in both the Chapel and the RS rooms of the remote buildings. How do we get the video from the computer in the chapel to the RS Room? Background The Remote buildings are not wired with Coax. And...

Re: Dedicated laptops for receiving webcasts in all building

We always use the Clerk computers. Drag one out of the clerk's office and plug it into the Ethernet jack at the podium. It sends VGA to the projector (we don't bother bringing out the clerk monitor; just use the projector instead of the monitor). And audio output through the crab box to the building...

Re: Adding a repeating restriction - doesn't work

Any timeline for fixing this? We usually set up restrictions for all of the buildings in the Stake for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (for ward Mutual nights and ward RS mid-week meetings). The restrictions block the entire building; and all rooms in the buildings. The wards know who has which room...
