Re: Provo Temple Dedication Broadcast Glitches
Yes we did as well. The worst was about 20 seconds with alarm during the 3rd session.

Re: New Standard Webcasting solution
I just got an email forwarded 4 times that our Stake should purchase this equipment. Apparently the communication for technical issues such as using new hardware for Webcast goes this path?
CHQ -> FM Group -> Stake President -> Stake Clerk -> STS (ME). What a terrible way to communicate.

Church FTP Media Server
Does anyone know if there is a server to download videos from the church? It would be really nice to be able to rsync to get newly publish media.
If not has anyone created such a collection. I would be a shame for each of us to create a media collection by going to the website for each video.

Static IP addresses and segmented Clerk PCs
After upgrading a few of the firewalls in my Stake I have a few questions. The instructions include setting static IP addresses for dedicated machines such as clerk PCs and network printers. I have done so. . 1. Are there any advantages to setting static ip addresses other than a guaranteed IP ? 2. ...

Re: Videonics MX-1 Video Mixer Tips and Tricks
Just wanted to say thanks to the input on this thread. I was able to pick up one of these mixers for $50 off of KSL about a year ago. After replacing the power supply we have had great results. It's old technology, but solves the problem. I have attached links of screen shots of our stake conference...

visca rs-232c VS MDIN8 cables with
I purchased the following cable for use with a PTZ controller and our Sony camera. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10215&cs_id=1021501&p_id=524&seq=1&format=2 However it does not work. We have a cable that looks home made that does seem to work (was t...
