Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but didn't want to start a new one on the same topic. We recently received a new computer for a new unit soon to be organized in our stake. I'm the Stake Tech. butt't Clerk and was trying to install MLS and other software into the new machine. The new computer has W...

Thanks

Thank you both for the info.
I will work with the Stake Pres. and our PFR as well as the FMG much better now that I know more what I'm talking about.
The new unit will be organized the 14th Oct. and their first meeting will be 21 Oct, that's already set. But we still have time to work out details.

Wiki instructions for a clean installation of MLS

Recently one of our units had their MLS user passwords disappear. I tried to restore it, but with no success. I contacted LUS and they talked me through a clean installation of MLS and restoration, That didn't work, either. They then talked me through another clean installation of MLS, but did it di...

Procedures for new unit creation

I'm the Stake butt't Clerk for Technology. Our Stake recently received approval from CHQ to create a new unit. The Stake President asked me to get the computer, monitor, etc. the new unit needs and install it in the new clerk's office in time for their organization and first Sunday. I contacted the ...

Thanks for the info, AEBrown and RossEvans, I'll try to hack my way through this, while closely following AEBrown's sage advise: "But since you describe yourself as "not a computer person" I would strongly recommend that you drop this line of inquiry -- working with an exported membership.csv file r...

Thanks, RussellHltn.
I'm rapidly realizing I'm out of my element on this one. I'll call LUS and hope that works.

Sorry, RossEvans, but you lost me there. Admin. privilege is not a problem as I and all Stake Clerks and Assistants and Ward Clerks and Membership Clerks have Admin privileges. Not sure what Membership.csv is, though. Also, you mention a "wishlist". What is that and how to I make a suggestion for it...

Sorry for the slow reply. I found the directions here: Correcting duplicate or missing callings , same as posted by RussellHltn above. I'm confused myself. Local Unit Website, I understand is LUWS, is not the same as the directory listed on the local units website in the "Classic" version of the Chu...

the callings in MLS are correct, have been for several months. However, the callings in the ward website leadership directory are not correct. I and the ward clerk have tried using the correcting LUWS instructions, but to no avail. Is there a way to manually change the ward website callings?
