I'm not sure what your specific issue is, but my daughter lost access on the one year anniversary of her return home. I was able to retrieve her plan by contacting the Missionary Department.

Re: Anyone know the status of the new "My Plan" tool?

Still wondering about this... I found the following booklet that looks official, with an approval date of 11/2016: https://www.lds.org/bc/content/ldsorg/topics/self-reliance/my-plan-for-returned-missionaries-eng.pdf But still seems likes radio silence in terms of direction. Are missionaries returnin...

Re: BYU: Online Ecclesiastical Endorsement

Looks like new applicants need a bishop and stake interview. For continuing students, there is only a place for the bishop's endorsement... so it looks like there is no stake interview for continuing students. Anyone confirm?

Re: Member wants to donate flat screens...

mrrad lists a link that apparently used to say how many TV's were approved for a building... But the page no longer states anything on the subject. Anyone know of an updated policy here?

Great discussion - thanks everyone. Probably makes no substantial difference, but for clarification, I got my thread title wrong - should have been "Funding Super Saturdays" (once a year craft projects). I'll take all your feedback and ponder and counsel some more! Thanks!

Funding RS Enrichment Night

Interesting thread. I've got a situation where the sister in charge of enrichment night (Super Saturday actually) wants to collect money for craft projects via paypal. She already has a paypal account for an online business and wants to have sisters pay into that, then buy the materials. She is will...

But a multi-stake YSA facebook site would be a different story... That doesn't line up with an ecclesiastical unit and hence doesn't have the appearance of an ecclesiastical endorsement.

Names

I guess the name of the group is a tacit endorsement... I would feel more comfortable if instead of "Hayward Stake" it said "Friends of Hayward Stake" or something like that. When you say that the group IS the stake or ward... well, it sounds like it is the stake or ward's group. I also think it wou...

Facebook sites for stakes and wards

I am seeing lots of these (some "groups" and some posted as "people"). Aren't they against policy? Many appear to be officially endorsed by the stake or ward, are publicly viewable, and contain photos of members, including youth. My understanding was that all of that is off-limits. Who tracks and tr...

Mission Transfers

I think the Church has done something similar for mission offices, in providing a virtual transfer board. Some major differences here, of course. Ward auxiliaries and quorums instead of districts & zones, no companionship requirements, lots more positions besides "AP, zone leader, and district leade...
