Medical limits for FO

In 1.5.1.2 it says that the bishop can authorize up to $5000 for medical expenses for a FO recipient. Is that per month? Or for the year? Or per medical condition? Or life time????

Re: Sub categories for Ward mission

That won't work for what they wanted. Somebody donated money for a missionary in another ward. The receiving ward is going to write a check to the other ward's missionary fund. They might be an ongoing donation for several missionaries in this other ward, and they were hopping to make a category for...

Sub categories for Ward mission

I'm a Stake Auditor, so I'm not real knowledgeable on the new MLS stuff. Today a clerk asked my how to create sub-categories in "ward Mission" so that money can be era-marked for individual missionaries.

Thanks!

Re: Changes to rules, learned in Audit

I am on the stake audit committee. As I recall, most of these changes to the audit are not actually changes to policy or procedure. The audit questions were changed and clarified to bring them into harmony with the requirements of Handbooks 1 and 2. Very good point! So the change in Audit questions...

Changes to rules, learned in Audit

I’m a stake auditor, and in our kickoff meeting last night we learned of a two changes in the financial rules for making the bank deposits and signing FO checks The new question for the audit is: • Are the funds always taken to the bank by the member of the bishopric and the other Melchizedek Priest...

Where is the online training?

Our stake had a major reorg yesterday, and every unit has at least one new counselor in the Bishopric, besides a new bishop and several new financial clerks. I went to the LDS.org page to find the online training, and found nothing. I even searched for "finance clerk training" and still no...

Adding children of record

Lady gets baptized with two young children (4 and 6). Record arrives in MLS for the sister, and it shows her two children in her record, but the children themselves have no records (no "children of record" files for them) How do I add them in MLS, and tie them to their mother?

Re: Change date input in LUFAS

Well, nobody replied to this, but apparently somebody was listening. I did my first audit today, and somebody took my suggestion and the calendar widget now comes up with the last date entered. Maybe it was just a coincidence, but I'd like to believe that somebody in the IT dept is actually reading ...

Change date input in LUFAS

How do I convey to whoever writes the Local Unit Financial Auditing System (LUFAS) web page that they need to change how to input dates. Currently they have used the standard date input widget that pops up a calendar. That is OK, but the calendar aways defaults to the current date, and you NEVER nee...
