Re: Received 20 Old Membership Records
That certainly does make sense to have them set on the last day of quarter, thereby avoiding such a “chaotic” situation. But are you 100% sure that is the actual set protocol? It is in conflict to what our Stake Clerk told us in our last priesthood leadership meeting.

Re: Received 20 Old Membership Records
Someone in-the-know can correct me- but the understanding from our ward leaders and stake clerks (that I’ve met with in our priesthood leadership meetings) indicate that the quarterly statistics are generated based on the membership numbers on the actual date the clerk runs the report- NOT necessari...

Recording Still-Born Births
Could someone educate me on the proper recording of still-born births? One of our memb-clerks needs to record them for some twins in their ward. He’s thinking he should just record their names and birthdate, and then their death for same date. I didn’t see anything on it in Handbook 2, section 20.2-...

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
Thanks for the responses. I thought most would realize my callings “not allowed” comment was tongue-in-cheek. Of course bishops and stake presidencies can create any custom calling they want, and obviously no custom callings will be linked to online services such as this. My point was the delay with...

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
We’re still having issues with the recent MLS callings re-formatting. In the most recent case, one of the recently released bishops in our stake, who was called as our Stake Employment Committee Chairman in Dec, contacted me regarding his problem in that he’s found he doesn’t have access rights to s...

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
Sorry for the delay in responding. In looking at “Callings by Organization” on that Clerk Resources field, I found that the “Other Callings” grouping was just as jumbled as it was in our MLS system. Maybe you intended for me to look somewhere else within Clerk Resources for these callings guidelines...

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
Sorry to display my ignorance- but where do we find “Clerk Resources”. I looked under lds.org under Resources, and in this wiki site, but didn’t see it in either place.

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
That may be true for most (but not all) of our stake callings. But the two examples I gave that apply to several members in our ward (service missionaries mostly on Temple Square, and Temple workers) do not apply to any “other unit” criteria. Do we need to just accept this loss in being able to conv...

Re: MLS Changes to Other Callings
Thanks again for your feedback. I'll send a message to all the clerks and bishops in our stake letting them know they've got some work to do to review their calling w/r to this formatting change.
