Re: WinXP End of Service Agreement
I am the ward clerk for my ward but the SP and I have been close friends for many years and we talk about many things, some church-related and some not church-related. He asked me after the Priesthood session of conference how work was going and I related how we are busy upgrading/replacing when nec...

Re: WinXP End of Service Agreement
Fair enough. Thanks for the reply. I know about risk mitigation. It is one of the many facets of my job which is why I brought this up in the first place. At my job in the real world, a fortune 15 company, we are heavily involved in replacing xp on all remaining machines that still have it, which ag...

Re: WinXP End of Service Agreement
Well, WinXP is not going away. Just Microsoft support for it. The program will still run Well of course the program will still run but Microsoft won't supply anymore security updates (except for the most critical of security flaws) for it and you would be silly to continue to access the internet fo...

WinXP End of Service Agreement
I was talking to our Stake President yesterday and I mentioned the WinXP end of service agreement coming in April 2014 and a look of panic went across his face when he realized that he would have to replace all of the machines in the Stake. He asked me if there was any information about what SLC was...

In my ward, I serve as both Ward Clerk and Membership Clerk (we have a small ward, and many who do attend are elderly with severe health problems that limit what they can do). I've always felt my responsibility is to make the bishopric's job, especially the Bishop's job, easier. This includes the Ex...

Where to order food order forms
Hi, I'm new to the ward clerk calling (about 4 months) and now we have a brand new bishopric, meaning none of the bishopric has ever served in a bishopric before, so we are sort of the blind leading the blind. Anyway, the new bishop just requested that I order some new Food order forms, the ones sig...

All capitals in MLS
First, I have done a few searches on this subject and haven't come up with any responses so excuse me if this has been brought up before. I have a few names from our ward that appear in all capitals when accessing membership information from LDS.org. They don't appear that way on MLS, although they ...
