Re: District high councilors?

Right, there's almost nothing in the General Handbook about districts, and nothing about district councils. But a previous post in the Tech forum noted that "district high councilor" was changed in LCR to "district councilor" a few years ago. Is that position still in LCR? If so,...

District high councilors?

Just to double check here (since I don't have access to LCR currently): there are district high councilors (or district councilors) correct? And does LCR impose a priesthood office restriction on district high councilors (meaning, are they allowed to just be elders instead of high priests)?

Is LDSTech dying?

It might sound like an odd question, but I've noticed some trends that lead me to ask if LDSTech is dying. For example: ⋅ After years of nearly weekly postings, the LDSTech blog (same as the front page) hasn't had a new article in nearly six months. ⋅ All of the wiki content has ...

2016 LDSTech conference?

Do we know yet when the 2016 LDSTech conference will be? Also, is it going to be at the University of Utah Institute building?

three bar icon on top left

The icon with three bars on the top left of the menu doesn't do what I expect. In other computer programs, the three bar icon indicates a dropdown menu for settings. But in this calendar, the three bars means expand to see the calendar subscription view. That doesn't jive with other programs.

selecting different months option

When I'm in the month view, the display at the top left shows the month and year I'm in, but when I click its dropdown button I'm just shown a view of the same month with days. I'm already in the month view, so I would like to see instead an option to select any month of the year. The current month-...

recommendation on expanding Churchwide vs local calendars

In the beta version, regarding the left menu where we can see the calendars we're subscribed to, I can only have either the Churchwide Calendars dropdown menu or the ### Stake dropdown menu showing, but not both at the same time. Meaning, if I click on Churchwide Calendars, the ### Stake options ret...

Re: High Priest as Elders Quorum President

I initially went with aebrown's first response, but also upon further reflection, I agree with his second response. I found this verse from the Doctrine and Covenants that helps: "High priests after the order of the Melchizedek Priesthood have a right to officiate in their own standing...and al...

Re: Social scripture study

I think the bofm365 on Instagram ( http://instagram.com/bofm365 ) is a good example of enhancing scripture study through social media. Elder Bednar even said that it "is a prime example of a simple idea that has allowed members to foster spiritual growth through social media" ( https://www...
