Re: Lost sheep and profile pictures
Not sure if there is a way to link a social media site to a record of not. I will leave that to someone else to comment on. I do know for moving a record out of the ward you have to have a complete address, not just the city or state. If you have fulfilled all the other steps required (contacting kn...

Re: Action Item Tracking
Good point about the Meetinghouse Technology Policy. I will want to review that policy again.

Action Item Tracking
As we all all very aware there ends up being a lot of lists that we have to manage to keep the ward running well. One thing we have started to do is track members as they move into the wards to make sure they get the initial visits and a bunch of other actions. I was looking at Google Spreadsheets. ...

Re: LCR 3.3
I was actually happy to see I could record a death via LCR now (well, once it is back up). I have had to do a couple over the last couple months and today I was able to do it when the Bishop asked.

Re: Sophos blocking DNS with reason of "Memory Modified"
May not be a big issue, but something to look at. Sophos recommends this: http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/29248.aspx to look and see what applications are causing the issue. I found it interesting that they said in the article "Disabling this feature will not compromise the en...

Re: Gospel Library 3.0
Question about videos in GL 3.x. Are they downloading to the device as they did in 2.5? I assumed I'm downloading them but when I went to class to play them they would not work without internet connection. They played fine at home after downloading. I was curious if I did something wrong. That one ...

Re: Re-enactment of the crossing of the Mississippi River
Are you referring to the crossing into Quincy Illinois? There was a re-enactment of that in 1999 I believe. I was on my mission at the time and helped a little with organizing the event. I also held a sign for the Kimball family (might have photos still). I will need to look back through my notes to...

Re: Which smartphone does church support?
I think the church, much like political parties, does not endorse any specific platform for their members to use. I will admit there are nicer features that go with the iOS platform. Could it be related to the development tools available for each platform? Possibly. I am grateful for the fact that t...

VHS to DVD
Is there any way possible for the church to provide VHS tapes in DVD format? I wanted to show a video on "Family Home Evening Video Supplement 2" (Temples are for Eternal Covenants) at someone's home who only has a DVD player. This was for a Temple Preparation class I was teaching. It doe...
