Re: What is blocking the use of circles for your organization?

We're going to try Circles with our teachers quorum. One benefit of the app is it supports the youth entering their goals into it. The youth haven't been too enthusiastic about jumping on board and surprisingly don't seem to understand the technical limitations of massive text groups. One note, our ...

Re: What is blocking the use of circles for your organization?

I'd imagine that a lot of youth do have phones, just not smart phones. Something that will work on text messaging (SMS) seems like it would be more successful. While you have a point about web apps, not having a web app means the door is completely closed to some participants. And that's non-starte...

Re: What is blocking the use of circles for your organization?

Thank you very much for the responses, just a couple thoughts to bounce around.... If a child doesn't have a cell phone the communication issue exists whether it is Circles or Groupme/other app. IMO, not using Circles for worry of leaving some out will just mean the communication will still happen c...

What is blocking the use of circles for your organization?

I'm curious as to what is stopping people from using the circles functionality. I've failed to nudge our ward to use it for youth (stuck with groupme) with references to "it doesn't do what we need" but I never get specific reasons of what doesn't work. I think having a short list of the m...

Re: 2021 Recording Attendance Guidelines

So when we look at the EQ attendance roll, an Elder who attends CHURCH every Sunday will only have 2 checks by his name each month, whereas for the Sunday School roll, his name would also have every other Sunday checked, since those were the only Sundays when he COULD attend those respective meetin...

Re: In-person donation entry in LCR

If stuck, you could still fill out a deposit slip and do the deposit at the bank and leave the stuck batch in LCR in limbo and fix it later. At least the funds would be at the bank. That's what we did when we ran into the problem during this beta testing period. Yeah, we contemplated that- I have n...

Re: In-person donation entry in LCR

Even worse this Sunday- LCR Finance (both Expenses and Donations) was jacked up for most of the day, just hanging at various places while loading the UI. When we were finally able to get our donations entered, it just continually hung during the second approval (no interesting errors in the dev con...

Re: Ward Youth Fundraiser: Using Venmo

I think the Handbook puts a serious crimp in anything like this. From 34.6.1 - Receiving Tithing and Other Offerings: Only the bishop and his counselors may receive tithes and other offerings. Under no circumstances should their wives, other members of their families, clerks, or other ward members ...

Re: Annual ward history template?

I can not get into the ward history template. This is my first year of doing the ward history. I started doing it by month. So, instead of a calendar, I put the events under each month. example: ward, RS, Young men and women activities, births, deaths, etc. I took the ward conference sheet and wrot...
